Email for life (alumni email)
In 2010 the University of Huddersfield introduced a new free service for its alumni - email for life.
This means that you can continue to use your student email account as an alumnus after you've graduated - at no cost to you.
You will change status from student to alumnus and your email login page will change to Microsoft. We will email you to let you know when this will happen.
When you login to http://unimail.hud.ac.uk you must use the alumni link on the page, to go to the Microsoft login screen. Enter your login name as firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you had a email@example.com address, then this will still exist, allowing emails sent to this address to be received. The primary address, from which mail is sent, will now be firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you want to change your password, then please use the password change facility within UniMail/Office365. If you try to change your password using Microsoft's password reset facility, the University has to verify your request by contacting you on an alternative email or phone. Unfortuately, if we don't have your current details, we won't be able to contact you to complete the procedure. So, if you have attempted a password reset, but not heard back, please email email@example.com explaining the situation.
The service was implemented for 2016 PGR graduates (not on Office365) during November 2016.
The email-for-life service for all other 2016 graduates with email hosted on Office365 was implemented in March 2017.
