An internship is a period of work experience offered by an employer to give exposure to the working environment, often within a specific industry, which relates to your field of study. Internships can be as short as a week or as long as 12 months. We offer our own internship scheme exclusively to our own graduates, the Huddersfield Graduate Programme.

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships
A Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) is a partnership between a business, a university and a recently qualified graduate (known as the Associate). The Associate is employed to work on a project which facilitates innovation and helps to embed new knowledge and capability within the business. Projects typically last between 24-36 months. KTPs are one of the UK’s largest graduate recruitment programmes.
A KTP enables you to apply knowledge and experience from your degree and deliver significant benefits to the business.
The benefits include:
- A competitive salary
- Dedicated coaching and mentoring support from the partnership team
- Additional training and development, including registration for a higher degree (if appropriate)
- Enhanced career prospects
