Guest names when booking

When you book your place at the ceremony, you will be asked for the full names of your guests you are ordering tickets for. The details you provide must match the names as they appear on the ID they intend to bring with them.

In November, video link tickets are ordered under a separate process, but guests' names still need to be provided.

If you have guests who intend to accompany you onto campus but who do not have tickets to either hall, you do not need to provide their details in advance.

Guests whose details have not been provided in advance will not be allowed entry to the ceremony venues even if they are in possession of a valid venue ticket.

ID requirements on the day of the ceremony

To gain entry to St Paul's Hall and the video link theatres, both students and guests will be required to show ID. Examples of what will be accepted include:

  • passport
  • photo driving licence
  • work photo pass
  • student card
  • any other kind of photo ID
  • a bill showing the guest's name and address
  • a bank statement showing the guest's name and address
  • for children, we will accept anything with their name and address on it. Children without ID can enter the venues so long as they are in possession of a valid ticket and are accompanied by an adult who also has a valid ticket and ID. Children over the age of 24 months must have their own ticket.

All documents should be the original as photocopies cannot be accepted.

Cloakrooms for large bags, prams and pushchairs are available in the Technology Building (T1/09).
