Arrival Times and Locations
Please select from the following to view the times and locations for your ceremony:
July (these will be available in March 2019)
On the day of your ceremony, we need you to arrive about 90 minutes before the ceremony start time so that you can register that you are here, collect your tickets, find your robe and have any photographs taken. Everything is located together in the Student Central Sports Hall and, to help, the below timetable offers guidence on when and where you need to be throughout your time with us. Please remember that if you miss your registration time or are not seated in St Paul's Hall before the latest time shown below, then neither you nor your guests will be able to gain entry to your ceremony. If you are having photographs taken, they can be done either before or after your ceremony.
Entry to both graduation ceremony venues is strictly by ticket only and admission will be refused to non-ticket holders. In addition, both you and your guests may be asked to present ID. Any of the following will be accepted, but if you don't have anything with you then you could be denied access to the venues, so please remember to bring something:
- photo driving licence
- work photo pass
- student card
- any other kind of photo ID
- a bill showing the guest's name and address
- a bank statement showing the guest's name and address
- for children, we will accept anything with their name and address on it. Children without ID can enter the venues so long as they are in possession of a valid ticket and are accompanied by an adult who also has a valid ticket and ID. Children over 24 months must have their own ticket.
Private photography is allowed in the hall, but we ask that guests do not leave their seats during the ceremony as this causes disruption to other guests. Flash photography and video cameras are not allowed during the ceremony at both venues. A professional photographer will be present in the hall to take the moment that you cross the stage and this will be available after the ceremony. Please see photography for details.
A group photo of all the graduating students will be taken at the start of the ceremony and uploaded to the graduation tagging site so that you can share the occassion online. If you would prefer not to be included in the picture you will be given the opportunity to move out of shot.
Ceremonies last about an hour and are followed by a celebratory drinks reception.
