Autistic Spectrum Condition

If you are autistic you can access support through Disability services. Please complete a registration form and you will be linked with an adviser. Disability Services work with you during your studies. We can identify the support and adjustments you require to ensure you can make good progress with your course.

There are a range of adjustments we can put in place, some examples include:

Teaching and Learning

  • Materials in advance of teaching lessons.
  • Support with group work and presentations.

Assessments and exams

  • The option to request coursework extensions.
  • Extra time in exams.

Placements

  • Support to link with placement units and tutors.

We can support you to apply for the Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA) which can offer additional support such as a study mentor, assistive technology, or equipment such as noise cancelling headphones. Please see the DSA section on our website.
