Visual impairments

If you are visually impaired, you can access support through Disability Services. Please complete the registration form and you will be linked with an adviser. There are a range of adjustments we can put in place, some examples include:

  • Making sure information is in the right format for you.
  • The right to request extensions to coursework deadlines.
  • Assistance from a support worker to make sure you can access the campus.
  • Support to borrow resources from the library.

You may also be eligible for the Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) and we can support you to apply for further support through this fund. This government fund can offer more support such as specialist software or provide support workers, such as specialist note takers and study tutors. Please read the DSA section on our website.
