HHS Uniform
If you are a current Year 1 student who began your studies in September 2025 on the following programmes you will receive 3 tunics and 3 navy trousers:
- Nursing (all fields)
- Physiotherapy
- Midwifery
- Podiatry
- Occupational Therapy
- Speech and Language Therapy
- Diagnostic Radiography
The uniform for these programmes will be the National Uniform for a learner or student in the NHS:
For Dental Hygiene and Therapy and Operating Department Practice you will receive 3 pairs of navy scrubs and a pair of anti-static clogs.
All students on these courses will receive a yellow badge:
FAQs
How will I receive my uniform?
If you are a current year 1 student
You will receive an email to your University account with a date and time when you can try the uniforms on and
If you are a Year 2 or Year 3 student needing replacement uniform

Paramedic students
The below only applies to paramedic students.
If you are a new paramedic student:
All uniform and equipment are provided and owned by Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) and must be returned after the course has finished.
We will arrange your sizing via a session and arrange ordering of your uniform. You will receive your uniform early in your programme after sizing and the course team will guide you through this process.
If you are a returning paramedic student or you have lost or damaged your assigned kit:
Contact hhsuniforms@hud.ac.uk with the item you need and the size required and we will order this in and notify you when and how to collect.
