Enactus Huddersfield

Enactus Huddersfield

Enactus is a global network that connects students, academics business leaders and supports them to use the power of business and innovation to create change and transform lives.

We believe in investing in students who take

  • ENtrepreneurial
  • ACTion, to create a better world for
  • US all.

By using the United Nations Global Goals for Sustainable Development as a framework for progress, the work of Enactus members transforms both the lives of the people they serve through community projects, and the lives of our students as they develop into more effective, values-driven leaders.

At Enactus Huddersfield, we're currently working on our Care Cupboard project, but we're always looking for new ideas - let us know yours!

UN Sustainable Development Goals

World leaders have announced 17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development. In all countries. For all people. The Goals are bold: end poverty, fight inequality and tackle climate change by 2030. If we are going to transform the world by 2030, we need a new approach.

The Global Goals serve as a framework for the sustainable change we’ve been creating for years. At Enactus, we’ve found an approach that works. One that creates sustainable, lasting change. Entrepreneurial action and business innovation that creates social impact.

We are already taking entrepreneurial action to create a better world for us all. But we’ve got more work to do.

Together, we can achieve the Global Goals.

Rookie Champions 2018

When launched in 2017, Enactus Huddersfield’s first project, Glasshouses, provided sustainably grown fresh produce for the community and positively impacted the lives of those at risk in the Kirklees area by partnering with local social enterprises Clem’s Garden and The Basement Project.

Enactus has a competition element, and Glasshouses led Enactus Huddersfield to be crowned Rookie League Champions at the 2018 Enactus National Expo competition!
