• Huddersfield Narrow Canal – Less adrenaline-fuelled than the ones above, but a walk down the canal is relaxing and refreshing. It is relatively flat, meaning it is a route for all, and starts at the university, outside the Lockside building, so is perfectly located! 
• Lawrence Batley Theatre – This is a fantastic local theatre with all kinds of performances from comedy to plays, and dances to pantomimes, so make sure you check out what’s on as it is thoroughly recommended! 
• Grab a Dixon’s Milk Ice, surely the best Ice Cream you will ever have, and head up to Greenhead Park or Beaumont Park, consistently rated as two of the best parks in Yorkshire. There are endless routes and fantastic views to see in both, and loads of activities and playgrounds to delight in as well! 
• Dinner, Movie and a Football Match – the stadium complex at John Smith’s Stadium boasts a Pizza Hut, Odeon Cinema and a modern stadium, home to Championship side Huddersfield Town FC and Super League side Huddersfield Giants so it is a great day out.
