Letter Requests
During your studies you may find that you need the university to confirm certain details for you. You may need a letter for one of the following:
• Bank Account letter: this is to help you open a UK bank account
• A proof of study letter: to confirm your enrolment
• Council Tax certificate: available to full-time students only (exemptions may apply)
You can do these yourself through MyHud please see the guidance here:
Log into MyHud> Quick links> My details
In this screen find the section called ‘Documents’. Select your letter from the list.

The Student Support Office is able to provide you with the following bespoke letters. Please email us to request the letter you require, allowing up to 48hrs for these to be produced.
• Term dates letter
• Term dates and confirmation of eligibility to work up to 20 hours per week
• Confirmation student can work full time out of term time
• Confirmation of receiving an award to use for employment before official certificate and transcript have been received
• Confirmation overseas students can work full time until curtailment of their visa after completing their studies
