Graduation: What happens on the day

After your ceremony, there will be a chance for you to meet up with your friends, family and tutors to celebrate your graduation with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine or soft drink. For more information, please see your celebratory reception.

In addition, a variety of campus cafés will be open during graduation week - for details please see the University's catering website.

When you receive your invitation to your graduation ceremony you may be informed that your ceremony will include a procession through the town centre, to which you are invited. Further details will be provided to you where applicable, however a map of the route is available from our  travel and maps section.
