Accommodation

There are plenty of options for postgraduate researcher (PGR) accommodation in Huddersfield. Several accommodation providers offer 52 week lets, meaning PGRs can stay all year round. Options for 52 week lets may not appear on providers' websites, so please content them directly for further details. Room types vary and include non-ensuite, ensuite, studio apartments and double occupancy accommodation (larger rooms or flats for two people sharing).

DIGS Student is the University of Huddersfield’s preferred, recommended and approved accommodation provider offering accommodation at Storthes Hall Park and Ashenhurst Houses. Although they do offer year-round accommodation, this information is not available via their website so please contact DIGS Student directly.

There are a number of other options. These include accommodation offered by iQ Student Accomodation (Aspley House, Little Aspley House and Castings House) and Unite Students (Saw Mill, Snow Island and Firth Point).

For those arranging their own accommodation, or for those needing family accommodation, Huddersfield Students’ Union has a dedicated service (HudLets), which provides impartial advice, support and guidance for prospective and current PGRs looking for private accommodation. They are available throughout the summer so can be contacted at any time during the calendar year.
