Events we run and how they support you

We're often running several event programmes every term dedicated to improving your employability skills, connections to graduate employers and creating a greater amount of awareness to your options after graduating.

Every term we also run large fair events where we welcome a whole range of employers in one place to meet you and talk about their opportunities.

During September term 2019 we hosted our annual Grad Jobs Fair as well as a Part-time Jobs fair, both combined making an audience of 2000+ students and 75+ employers in attendance. During the January - April 2020 term we host our the Work Abroad Fair and Volunteering Fair.

In addition to meeting employers, we also offer:

Did you know?

A young person who has 4 or more encounters with an employer is 86% less likely to be unemployed or not in education or training, and can earn up to 18% more in their career.*

During the fair, top graduate recruiters exhibit on campus in order to promote their graduate schemes to University of Huddersfield students and final years. This is a fantastic opportunity to network with top recruiters and kick start your graduate career.

Without the Graduate Jobs Fair, I wouldn't have been able to see the selection and wide variety of industries that were available for me to apply to. As a result of attending the Grad Jobs Fair I was able to apply to Farmfoods where I was successful and offered a job. I am extremely grateful for this event and would encourage anyone to attend it in the future!”
