
Before Going On Placement
- Ensure all enrolment clearances are met, Health and DBS clearances.
- Submit your personal placement application.
- Learn the settings routines, ethos, and expectations, complete tours and staff introductions.
- Confirm the placement start dates and mentor details with the placement team.
- Undergo an induction period to familiarise yourself with the setting (safeguarding, behaviour, data protection, attendance, logins, policies, emergency procedures).
- Keep your tutor and the placement team informed of changes to skills, experience, address, or travel ability.
- Familiarise yourself with the placement setting, curriculum, and trainee groups (e.g., via prospectus or website).
- Provide your placement timetable to key staff and the placement team.
