Before Going On Placement
- Ensure all enrolment clearances are met, Health and DBS clearances.
- Complete and upload HAYS Safeguarding, Prevent Training, and confirm reading KCISE (Keeping Children Safe in Education).
- Contact your placement provider by sending an introductory email to introduce yourself and begin establishing communication before your placement starts.
- Ensure you understand school policies shared during induction (safeguarding, behaviour, data protection, attendance).
- Learn the school's routines, ethos, and expectations, complete tours and staff introductions.
- During induction week, trainees should shadow classes, meet key staff and children, and begin preparing for observations and teaching.
