To cancel your place at the ceremony or to return the guest tickets ordered, please contact mygraduation@hud.ac.uk  prior to the ceremonies. 

We will not cancel your gown or photography, so you need to contact them yourself as soon as you know you will not be attending and by no later than the date advertised as part of their cancellation policy in their Terms and Conditions:

If you are in debt to the University, you will not be sent an online invitation to your graduation ceremony.  Additionally if you go into debt after the ceremony invites are issued your invitation will be withdrawn.

In order to attend your graduation ceremony you must have paid your debt with the Student Finance Office and then contacted us at mygraduation@hud.ac.uk  to let us know before the deadline of Friday 4 October 2024. 

It is your responsibility to inform the Graduation Team that your debt has been cleared - an invitation will not automatically be issued.

Once we have been notified, you will be sent an invite and you must register your attendance and order any guest tickets before 11.55pm on Tuesday 8 October 2024. Neither your place at the ceremony nor guest seats within the venue can be guaranteed if the deadline is missed.

If your debt is not cleared by the deadline you will forfeit your chance to attend the ceremonies.

Please contact the Student Finance Office to make arrangements to clear any debt.

If you are not able to attend, don't worry you can either choose to graduate in absentia or defer your ceremony for up to a year. Graduating in absentia means you will receive your award but you will not attend the ceremony. If you choose this option you will not be able to attend a ceremony at a later date. Alternatively, you can defer your ceremony for up to one year. Please email mygraduation@hud.ac.uk to confirm your preferred option. Please note that if you choose to defer your attendance at the ceremony you are invited to, you can only do so on one occasion.
