Opening Autumn 2022

We are excited to reveal that construction on the new University multi faith centre - to be named the Jo Cox More in Common Centre - has begun on the grass triangle area between T5, Edith Key Building and the Researcher Hub.

Due to complete in late Autumn 2022; the 1,000sq m. two storey multi faith centre will provide a space for reflection for staff and students from all faiths and backgrounds. A shared meeting hall, daily prayer rooms and a lounge in the new centre will provide opportunities for university members of all faiths and none to meet, engage and reflect. Built to the WELL standard and incorporating natural materials the contemporary space will reflect aspects of spirituality, worship and mindfulness.

This welcoming, inclusive and tranquil space will provide a retreat from busy academic life, where students and staff can connect, refresh and practice their faith.

Check back for more information as the build progresses.
