Prayer and worship on campus

Muslim prayer

Our Muslim chaplain, Muhammad Patel, coordinates and leads our Muslim prayer provision on campus. The More in Common Centre has both a sisters and brothers prayer room, with adjacent wudu and shoe storage facilities. These are accessible daily to students and staff during centre opening hours.

Friday Jumu’ah prayers are held in two sessions. For up-to-date prayer times and information, please check the screens in the centre, or contact Muhammad at m.m.patel@hud.ac.uk

Christian prayer and worship

There is a Christian prayer room in the centre which is bookable for prayer meetings through contacting faithcentre@hud.ac.uk.

When this is not booked, feel free to use it as a quiet space for personal reflection and contemplation.

A new C of E chaplain will be joining the team in January and will be facilitating more organised prayer and worship meetings on campus. Stay tuned for more details.

Other faiths

The centre contains multi-faith rooms which can be booked and used for prayer, meditation or other corporate faith activities. To book these spaces, please contact faithcentre@hud.ac.uk
