Keeping in touch

You may find the period of self-isolation challenging to deal with. You are strongly advised to not have face-to-face contact with others but that doesn’t have to stop you from keeping in touch. We would recommend that you:

  • Make use of social media to connect with other people.
  • Call friends and family for a chat.
  • Look out for ways that clubs and societies within the SU are connecting. If you are part of one of these, engage with them online.

Look out for your friends. If you know that one of your friends has to self-isolate then make the effort to contact them and check how they are doing. Perhaps offer to drop off some essential items for them.

If you are struggling with your emotional and mental health, contact the student wellbeing service on studentwellbeing@hud.ac.uk to arrange an appointment with an adviser.

You can also chat online with a Wall Guide through togetherall. They are available 24/7 and can offer you support, advice and guidance.
