What is Learning to Pause?

This is a 4-week mindfulness-based stress reduction course open to all students.

Within a supportive group environment, we will explore mindfulness techniques to empower and enable you to develop your resources to manage stress.

You will be learning how to pause mindfully and regularly, and incorporate short meditation practices into your life No previous experience of mindfulness is needed.

"The mind is like water. When it's turbulent, it's difficult to see.

When it's calm, everything becomes clear" by Prasad Mahes

Cultivating mindful awareness regularly can help us to:

  • Weather times of challenge, overwhelm, anxiety and stress more wisely

  • Improve focus, self-discipline and time management

  • Increase our self-awareness, especially of our inner responses and habitual patterns

  • Develop healthy habits to promote our wellbeing

  • Appreciate our world, discovering more stillness, calm and joy in our life

  • Develop a kinder approach to ourselves and others
