Nicola coordinates the range of services offered by the University’s Enterprise Team and manages the day to day running of the Enterprise Hub. She manages the Enterprise Placement Year programme and administers events such as Business Boot Camp and Enterprise Workshops. Nicola provides customer support whilst handling enterprise enquiries from students and graduates.

Nicola is University Advisor for the Enactus Huddersfield society and a member of the Enactus UK Steering Group. She is also a Mental Health First Aider and a CMI qualified Coach and Mentor.  

Nicola is described as encouraging, helpful, organized and the glue that keeps everything together­.

Sarah leads the Enterprise Team at the University of Huddersfield. It is her responsibility to meet the Enterprise and Entrepreneurship strategic vision of the University, ensuring the initiatives of the team dovetail into the overarching strategic plan.  

She manages the operational day to day activity of the Enterprise Team which provides advice and support to students and recent graduates looking to start up in business or self-employment. 

Sarah is a seasoned entrepreneur and dynamic leader with over 25 years of experience in the business world bringing a wealth of knowledge to the role. She firmly believes in the transformative power of enterprise and entrepreneurship and strives to instil this mindset. Driven by her passion for inspiring and empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs, she fosters a culture of innovation and creativity.

Joseph is the Curriculum Lead for Enterprise Education and is a former graduate of the University of Huddersfield. 

Joseph has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science (2002) which included a placement year at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy, where he served as a Network Engineer. Immediately after graduating, Joseph undertook a Master of Science degree in e-Business (2003). Following the completion of his MSc, he gained a place on Citi Bank's graduate programme as a Systems Analyst and worked in Tokyo, Japan for three years. 

Upon returning to the UK, Joseph transitioned into the field of education and completed his Postgraduate Certificate in Education (2007) at Kings College, London, complemented by a MA in Education (2011), from the UCL Institute of Education. 

With an extensive background in education spanning over 16 years, Joseph has taught in inner London schools for eleven years, spent four years working in Beijing, China and one year teaching in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. 

Joseph has acquired several notable professional teaching qualifications through the National College of Teaching and Leadership. These include recognition as an Advanced Skills Teacher (AST) in 2012, Specialist Leader of Education (SLE) in the field of Computer Science in 2013, and the prestigious National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL) in 2014. 

Joseph is primarily based in the Enterprise Hub, BIC2/19 but will also be working across campus supporting academic colleagues and students. 

Chris joined in in September 2021 as a Business Advisor bringing with him 21 years’ expertise in Social Enterprise, Community Development, and the Creative Industries. 

Chris is passionate about the role that Social Enterprise and Creativity can play in creating meaningful change in the world. He has previously won the Social Enterprise Yorkshire & Humber award for start up growth, has worked nationally and internationally in the field of Community Development and now runs a Social Enterprise called ‘Our Creative Connection’ which uses Photography for Social Change.

Chris will be working two days per week providing advice to start-up and growing businesses, freelancers and the self-employed on all aspects of running a successful business – from initial idea, to setting up, trading and beyond!

Daniel is an experienced Business Advisor having spent over 20 years working with businesses from prestart to multi nationals across the public and private sector. He spent over a decade working in commercial banking supporting start-ups and SMEs to expand and grow by preparing companies for investment, assessing financials, and advising on growth strategies.  

Daniel has supported a full cross sector of businesses and he looks forward to hearing about your plans and ideas. He is ready to support you if you're considering freelance or any other business venture so please get in touch. 

Daniel is a full-time Business Advisor and can be found in the Enterprise Hub, BIC2/19 or the Maker Space BH3/07, in the Barbara Hepworth Building.
