The Maker Space
A collaborative workspace to ignite your business
The Maker Space supports University of Huddersfield students and alumni working on creative business ideas, start-ups, freelance services and entrepreneurial ventures. It's a collaborative workspace designed for people to come together, share ideas, learn, and work on their businesses.
Located on the 3rd floor of the Barbara Hepworth Building in room BH3/07, the space is equipped with tools, equipment, resources and a dedicated Technician to help you develop businesses in areas such as digital design, internet of things, fashion, textiles and more.

Current Maker Space opening hours are:
- Tuesday, 09:00 to 16:00
- Wednesday, 09:00 to 16:00

We've got some fantastic equipment in the Maker Space to help enhance and progress your ideas, including:
- Durkopp Adler industrial sewing machines
- Juki Irish free-hand embroidery machine
- Industrial overlockers
- Bambu Lab A1 Mini 3D printers
- Arduino open source electronics and prototyping platform
- Mac suite
