This Student Can: Millie Avery

I am Millie Avery, the Education Officer for Huddersfield Students' Union (2021-22). I moved to Huddersfield from Derbyshire to study Psychology as an undergraduate and I hope to return for my Master's after this role. I joined a few societies during my undergraduate including old hobbies I wanted to return to, such as gymnastics, as well as pushing myself to learn rugby union which was a completely new sport to me! Becoming involved and seeing the changes I could make within the SU and University is what lead me to campaign for Education Officer (as scary as that was for me) and I am now proudly part of the first ever all women Officer team at HSU!

Filmed April 2022, information correct at time of filming.
